Ideally, visiting Prague sights would take no less than 3 or 4 days. But what if you have arrived only for a very short stay? In any case, one day in the Czech capital is better than none, and here is our quick guidance on how you can make the most of your time in Prague with a 1-Day CoolPass.

Prague is one of the most walkable cities in Europe, so if you plan efficiently and start the day early, you can do all the essential sightseeing and feel the city’s magic vibe.

The number-one hotspot is the magnificent Prague Castle with all the sights located in its grounds. You may find it a good idea to reach the Castle taking a Historical City Bus Tour , and get an overview of the city’s landmarks. Once there, either include only the unmissable St. Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane , or add a glimpse of the famed Lobkowicz collections and Schwarzenberg Palace housing Old Masters art.

After exploring the Castle area, head for the Old Town - an equally popular tourist magnet in Prague, full of incredible medieval charm. To do so, you will need to cross the Charles Bridge - a unique experience in itself that will bring you in the vicinity of Old Town Square and the Jewish Quarter. However, if you prefer to rest your feet, board a comfortable cruise boat and enjoy a lovely and very different perspective on Prague from water.

This already looks like a day packed with activities, but if you skipped some of the above or still have time left, you might proceed with exploring the Jewish Museum synagogues and the famous Old Jewish cemetery . Other options could be Old Town sights like House at the Golden Ring , or Wenceslas Square , which is home to the National Museum and other interesting attractions.

And, of course, after wandering all these historically important areas, make sure you reserve a spot in a cosy restaurant or café – to replenish your energy and recap on the adventures of the day.
