The Clam-Gallas Palace in the Old Town is one of the most important architectural monuments of Prague and the Czech Republic. It belongs to the top masterpieces of Prague Baroque architecture and is an excellent example of Baroque living and lifestyle of the nobility of the time.

Tips
  • Guided tour only – access is possible as part of a scheduled tour.
  • The one-hour guided tour explores the palace’s noble floor, featuring richly decorated interiors with frescoes by Italian artist Carlo Carlone.
  • Group size is limited to 15 people, larger groups require advance booking.

It is a large building complex, the basis of which is a four-winged Baroque building situated around a central square courtyard. The palace area also includes three smaller courtyards and a garden. The monumental external and internal form of the palace is the result of the construction of the building in the second and third decades of the 18th century and further modifications in the late 18th and 19th centuries.
