The museum combines historic illusion-making techniques with original contemporary illusion art
by Czech and international artists, including Patrik Proško, Jonty Hurwitz, Patrick Hughes, Ivana
Štenclová and Florian Goerlitz. Many of its works draw on Czech history and culture, bringing
iconic figures such as Franz Kafka, Antonín Dvořák and Václav Havel to life through
anamorphosis, spatial illusion, kinetic art and light-based installations.
Visitors are encouraged to touch, explore and photograph the exhibits. Multilingual museum
guides are on hand to explain the art, reveal the correct viewpoints and help visitors capture
memorable photos, while an audio guide is available in more than 10 languages.
Perfect for families with school-age children, teenagers, couples and school groups, IAM is an
air-conditioned, all-weather attraction that takes around one hour to visit.
