Karel Zeman Museum presents a complete work of the renowned filmmaker Karel Zeman and his cinematic special effects, which made Czech cinematography world-famous in the 20th century.
In the museum, you can see a unique and playful exposition that is enjoyable for adults as well as for children. The individual rooms of the museum are decorated as movie studios with small stages, where visitors can step into the films and make their own shots.
The museum maps the life and work of Karel Zeman from its beginnings – from his first animations and puppet films in the 1940’s to work from his last creative period. A substantial part of the museum is dedicated to his most significant films – Journey to the Beginning of Time, Invention for Destruction and The Fabulous Baron Munchausen.
Interactive tablet guides are available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
At a yard in front of the museum, you can take a picture in some of the amazing scenic images.
